First shift position Monday through Friday, Second shift position (2:30 pm to 11:00pm), will at some point move to four ten hour days Monday through Thursday (3:30pm to 2:00am) and a Third shift position which will be three twelve hour days Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Orlando, Fl. This is part of our Optical and Photonics Systems Division, we specialize in the design, development, and manufacturing of complex, state-of-the-art communications systems for military, space, and commercial applications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead fabrication process development, documentation, ECOs, process training and responsibility to maintain production yield, quality and cleanliness.
- Interfacing with design engineers to ensure hardware producibility and develop build strategies.
- Drive cost reduction and commit the best process control to make top quality products for customers.
- Directing support personnel in the day-to-day execution of the manufacturing tasks.
- Actively thinking and acting independently to propose or translate ideas and new concepts into tangible results of processes.
- Plan and support the build and modification of electronics systems including procurement support, assembly method/work instructions generation, tooling design support, material/process development, facilities/equipment planning, and resolution of manufacturing, quality and reliability issues.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in ME, EE or OE and a minimum of 3 years or an Associate's Degree and a minimum of 5 years or equivalent combination of education and experience of working in Optics Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar industrial field.
- Knowledge of process control, cleanroom operation protocol, and process control for complex opto-mechanical and electro-optical assembly.
- Proven technical acumen in the manufacture, test and integration of complex product technologies and systems, DoD or Space.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and ability to work well in team environment with people at all levels.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance.
Desired:
- Knowledge of MIL/IPC workmanship and performance standards related to electronic assemblies IPC-610, IPC-620, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-883, NASA Spec.
- Manufacturing Execution System experience

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$60,100 - $123,200
