Company History
Since 1938, we have been committed to improving the lives of those around us every day by creating a brighter future for generations to come. Our founders, Louie and Mary Ellen Veigel, built their reputation eight decades ago through a strong work ethic and a commitment to customer relationships. From L.W. Veigel Consulting Engineering, to Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson, and now the name we are known as today, KLJ, we have grown from a small family business into a national multi-disciplinary firm. By working in a number of markets across the country, we specialize in aviation, environmental, funding resources, land development, oil & gas, power, public works, right-of-way, structural, survey, telecommunications, transportation, and water.
We are headquartered in Bismarck, ND and dedicated to creating sustainable communities by providing an exceptional experience with numerous offices and remote locations including North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, Wyoming, and Colorado.
