Your Role:
Manufacturing Technician 2 in Bellefonte, PA is responsible for the precise production, packaging, and labeling of products while maintaining rigorous batch records and performing equipment troubleshooting. This role balances daily operational execution with a proactive focus on process improvement, ensuring high-quality yields and a safe laboratory environment through strict adherence to regulatory standards. Job duties include:
- Follow written instructions to manufacture, package, and label products while maintaining accurate raw material inventory and requesting supplies as needed.
- Complete in-process inspections and prepare samples for QC, as needed.
- Generate and maintain batch records.
- Operate and assist in maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment, including automated production equipment.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and assist with simple experiments to increase yield, improve product quality, and/or develop new products.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work areas and laboratory equipment.
- Take part in and contribute to a safe working environment by following corporate and departmental safety regulations.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Physical Attributes:
- Vision and hearing within normal limits.
- Consistently moving and transporting materials weighing up to 50 lbs to support production and warehouse operations.
- Sit or stand for up to 8 hours while performing repetitive hand and arm movements and safely bending, lifting, or maneuvering low to moderate weight.
- Consistent and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the manufacturing environment.
- Maintain the manual dexterity required to grasp and manipulate objects with small, precise movements, while possessing the physical ability to safely navigate ladders and steps.
- Safely and effectively operate in a laboratory environment involving the handling and use of various chemicals.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of work experience in a fast-paced industrial setting
- 5+ years of experience working with semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating specialized laboratory and production equipment, including balances, labelers, vacuum pumps, ovens, evaporators, and glove boxes.
- Possess strong communication, organizational, and basic math skills with a high attention to detail, including the ability to maintain legible records and work independently or collaboratively in a computer-proficient environment.
RSREMD
Pay Range for this position: $20.00 - $32.00
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
