FM Approvals isseekingahighly motivatedbusiness developmentadvancedengineer to support growth in theHazardous Location, and Industrial Internet of Things (IioT)markets. This role will help drive newopportunities, strengthen customer engagement, and support product certificationinitiatives across the Americas.
Responsibilities
Identifyandqualify opportunities in targeted industries.
Develop and execute annual business plans.
Build andmaintainworking relationships with team members, customers, and member companies withintheAmericas.
Overnight travel to customers,eventsand trade shows(Typically 25% or more).
Support the development oftechnical knowledgeand communication of market trends to internal and external audiences.
Develop andmaintainan understanding of the targeted industriesincludingregulationlandscape,competitors' intelligence,challengesand opportunities.

4+ yearsof relevant experience in product certification, industrial automation,IioT, or engineering roles.
Working knowledge of Hazardous Location standards such as FM, ATEX, IECEx, NEC/CEC, UL, or CSA.
Experience withIIottechnologies, including industrial sensors, connected devices,communication protocols, and condition monitoring systems is beneficial.
Strong ability to translate technical certification requirements into clear customervalue propositions.
Experience inbusiness development, technicalsalesand/or marketingforindustrialor regulated sectors.
Knowledge ofFM Approvals certification offeringsand/or FM Loss Prevention Data Sheets is beneficial.
Moderate high: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
